For their eighth full-length performance, ChristinaNoel & The Creature presents Je Suis Gremlin. This dance theatre piece by ChristinaNoel Reaves and the Creature cast is a remarkable product of the time we are living in: created with many stops and starts, new normals, and rehearsals taking place over Zoom, on rooftops, in parks, and in tumultuous weather. The result is The Creature’s latest blend of dance and voice performance that straddles dance theatre and dance opera, sewn together by our new perspectives on space, boundaries, and the resilience of community.

This city block performance is made possible by the Open Culture permit program, a program available through the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office allowing for ticketed socially distanced performances on city blocks. Face coverings are mandatory and attendees are required to keep six feet from people outside their household. Hand sanitizing stations will be provided.
There will be no seating. Feel free to stand or walk around the performance perimeter, though we highly encourage you to bring your own outdoor seating, blankets, or cushions. We reserve the right to ask you to move your seat if it blocks our mandatory fire lane.
For this outdoor celebratory performance, we are excited to partner with Finback Brewery, who makes GREAT beer from quality ingredients and small batch artisanal brewing. Finback Brooklyn on President Street in Gowanus (Finback’s second location, right next to our performance site) is where Finback has been exploring their creativity, expanding in distilling, roasting coffee, and even making their own dumplings! We hope you grab a beer as you enjoy the evening with us!
